Oceania Vehicle Washing (OVW) is a supplier of vehicle washing equipment and consumables to the New Zealand market.
OVW is a distributor for both iWash Self-Serve equipment and Blendco chemicals.
OVW was formed by Hugh Gardiner and David Lowe in 2020. Hugh & Dave are both site owners and operators of the equipment and users of the products that they represent. This is an important factor to consider when choosing a company to partner with. Hugh & Dave can provide real insight to the day-to-day operations of running a successful vehicle washing business. Hugh & Dave make available their own sites for potential customers to come, see, touch and feel the equipment in operation. OVW has sites open for inspection in both the North and South Islands of New Zealand.
Hugh is an aeronautical engineer by trade previously working for Air New Zealand, he moonlights as a race car driver on the weekends. In 2013 Hugh made a career change and became involved in the vehicle washing industry. Since entering the industry Hugh has taken over three sites, bringing life to what were tired businesses and revamped them with new iWash Self-Serve equipment and Blendco high quality soaps.
Dave comes from a retail background, having worked for Chevron NZ (Caltex NZ) as the National Car Wash Manager for four years. He then became the Operations and Sales Manager for an equipment and soap supplier to the vehicle washing industry for 11 years. In 2019 Dave left that company to take over a very run-down vehicle washing site. He revamped it with new iWash Self-Serve equipment and high quality Blendco soaps. This site has seen huge growth since being rebranded and fitted out.
